We are not having the best weather here and I had to cancel my photo shoot this morning. When I photographed my last wedding, I noticed that I had some problems with my Canon 16-35mm lens focusing, so I took it in today for some repairs, hopefully they can fix it. Because I was already in Calgary I decided to scout some locations for my future photo shoot.

Yesterday a couple of my friends and I spent the day at Banff National Park. The weather was very good, nice and warm. I was expecting to see more snow, but instead we could feel that the spring was coming. The sky didn't cooperate with us for any great landscape shots but we had a fun time.

I finally have some of my photographs on my wall. I always busy printing photographs for my clients but never have any time to make some for myself. Well couple of days ago my friend Brett Coyne from "Prints Charming" made a couple of 20 x 30 in canvas transfers for me. He did a great job and photos look aweseme!

I made some of my favorite food for lunch today, calamari. In the process I managed to set off the fire alarm from having too much smoke but the calamity were great! I'm off to a couple of meetings, wish me luck!

It was a wonderful day outside and decided to take my wife out for some ice cream and a nice walk in a park. I didn't have to do any work this weekend so it was very nice to spend some time together with my family. With the weather getting so nice lately I will probably have my first soccer game of the season tomorrow. I'm totally out of shape but I'm very excited for the season to start :) If you didn't know, I love soccer and play in a recreational league. You can check it out by going here: calgarysportsclub.com

I thought I would start the weekend early with a nice BBQ. We buy these very nice spicy sausages from a butcher shop right outside of Airdrie and they are awesome! I can't wait for the weather to get better so I can finish building our deck and have some great BBQs going :)

I was driving back home from scouting some photo locations for a wedding that I have to photograph this weekend and I noticed this oil rig. I didn't take any sunset photographs for a very long time so I decided to stop and take couple of shots.

Tracy and I watched a movie couple of days ago "Into the Wild". It was a good movie and I decided to buy a soundtrack CD from it. I just wanted to recommend it. If you are a fan of Eddie Vedder its a great CD in my opinion!

My friend Bradley is in the process of getting his pilot license and today was one of his lessons. Tracy, Greg, and I decided to go and see him flying. We watched Bradley do the preflight airplane check and he was all ready to take off when he found out that the airspace is over booked. I don't know any technical terms but what I understood was that they had more airplanes flying around that they wanted. The lesson was canceled and we pretty much woke up and drove there for nothing. That must be disappointing for the pilot to come, get all excited to fly and at the last seconds have to cancel. Bradley said it wasn't the fist time it happened.

It was a beautiful day and we spent some time at the Zoo. I didn't go there for a long time so I finally had a chance to see a baby elephant and some other new animals. We spent just a couple of hours walking around and after went for lunch to one of my favorite restaurants - "Sakana Grill".
