Day 3: Today is my birthday, I turned 36 years old :) Today also is when I drank coffee for the first time... I can't say I like it, but I'm scared I will get into it. If you ever seen movie "Kicking and Screaming"... you may know what I mean.. I think that could be me :)

The tide was pretty low and exposed a bunch of rocks, so we decided to go for a little walk on the beach in the morning.

After lunch, Oliver went for a nap and I decided to go for a hike in a search for monkeys :) Good thing I brought my hiking shoes with me!

As soon as I got to a pretty steep hill, it started to rain... hard! And that is when I found a few monkeys.. they were very close and If not for the rain, I would love to stay and take better photographs but I had to turn back and head down.

To celebrate my Birthday we decided to go for some sushi here at the resort. Not the best sushi I ever had but not too bad :)

Day 2: Second leg of our journey... Houston to Liberia, Costa Rica. Waking up very early in the morning in Houston was tough for Oliver and the rest of us but it had to be done :)

Once in a while Oliver would take my camera from me and would ask if he can take a photo... he is actually pretty good at it for a two and a half year old. I have a collection of his good images now... Here is a photo of me that he took when we were taking off :)

In Houston we met with my sister and her little son Lucas, who are also going to Costa Rica with us :)

Loading into our personal mini bus to travel to the hotel, some people prefer to stay close to the airport but I love to see some of the country before we get to the hotel.

We are staying at "Dreams Las Mareas" resort... we didn't see everything yet but our room is excellent so far :)

We made it to the ocean! The water is so warm and the quality of the send it amazing!

Day 1: Travel begins!

While our plane was unloading people and loading our bags it was time for me to catchup on some YouTube vlog watching :)

Love seeing familiar places but from a different perspective... here is a view of Cross Iron mall from above :)

We got lucky! Our plane was pretty much empty. I had three seats to myself and Tracy and Oliver shared another three seats. This was probably the best flight I have been on in all of my travels. Great food, great views, everything just worked out perfect!

Flying at sunset time is the best, just look at these views, seems like we were flying over lava :)

As some of you know, I am traveling with my family to Costa Rica for a bit.. So far we made it to Houston where we settled in for a night at a very nice Marriott hotel... I should be blogging my adventures daily so don't forget to say hi :)

Yesterday Tracy had her big bike ride with her company as Calgary Corporate Challenge. Oliver and I went as well to support her, and after close inspection of the bike, Oliver was ready for the ride. If you look closer you will see Oliver is on Tracy's back fro the actual ride :)

After the bike ride we went for a long walk along the river. Here are Tracy and Oliver, soaking up, as what feels like last days of summer sun :)

Earlier today Tracy, Oliver and I went for some family fun at a corn maze farm. After photographing a full day wedding yesterday, I tried not to take photos today, but of course I couldn't :)

So much fun running around the actual corn maze!

Lots of animals for kids to see and pet :)

Pig racing was a very popular event.

DAY 3: Morning! It is not raining! We packed and headed for a hike.

Right after we made it back to our campsite it started to rain. Luckily it was time for Oliver to go down for a nap so I had a bit of time to do some work.

After Oliver's nap the rain stopped and we decided to go and spend some time at Sylvan Lake.

I was really looking forward to rent a paddle boat but they were closing when we arrived. The weather was beautiful and we had a great time anyway :)

What a better way to finish our camping trip but with a great fire pit and some traditional Belski camp fire bacon! Tonight should be only +4C (39F), hope we will not freeze :)

DAY 2: Well, it was an interesting night... thunder, lightning, rain, very cold weather. When we woke up, in the morning, it was still raining.

Last night a few friends of ours joined us. The plan was to camp together for a couple of nights... Because the weather forecast predicted that it will be raining at least till 3pm, we all decided that we should drive to Red Deer and spend our day with some indoor activities for the kids.

We decided on a lunch and than go see a movie. Unfortunately, our first time camper friends decided that they can't survive another scary rainy night and headed home.

By the time we got out of the movie theatre, the rain stopped and I was in a much better camping mood! :)

We had a great fire and cooked some awesome food!

DAY 1: In the morning we packed Luigi like we never packed before and headed to Jarvis Bay for some family camping :)

We made it! When we arrived our camping spot was not ready for us yet and it started to rain, so we had to find shelter at a local Boston Pizza.

For the next hours and hours we spent setting up camp... It took us forever to get all the pegs in for our tents into the gravel. It was raining pretty much the whole time we were setting up. Lucky the rain stopped in the evening, when, exhausted, wet and tired we had a nice fire.

On Sunday Tracy, Oliver and I went for a little family road trip to Banff National Park... We had so much fun!

So many of these little guys around... we had lots of fun with them :)

We wanted to rent a pedal boat but there were so many people and it was a lunch time... but the next time we are here we sure need to do it! :)

Luigi got a little upgrade in a form of this nice roof rack :) We are going camping in a few weeks so stay tuned for some photos of the fully loaded Luigi :)

On Sunday we had a nice trip to Calaway Park with friends and family. I'm not a fan of rides but oh well, the things we do for our kids :) Oliver had a great time with his friend Jacob and cousin Abi :)
