Second day of the Weekend to End Breast Cancer Walk. Walkers are challenged to walk approximately 30 kilometers a day for 2 days. They camp out Saturday night in a tent. Each walker must raise a minimum of $2000 in donations to participate and all proceeds go to cancer research centers. You can find out more about this event at the Weekend to End Breast Cancer.

Today I was covering my first baseball game. I don't really know much about baseball so I was learning as the game went on. At the end I was pretty happy with the photographs that I took, and specially for the first time out :) Calgary Vipers played against Winnipeg Goldeyes, Calgary lost 9-2.

Some of my bird shots from today. The owl photo was taken at the Zoo and on my way home I stopped to photograph pelicans at the Bow river.

I'm dead tired! Today was a very long day, plus the weather didn't help (+34C).
This weekend we had our company camping trip. We camped on Friday night in the Kananaskis National park and this morning some of us went for a two hour horse back ride in the mountains. If that wasn't enough, people also went for a whitewater rafting tour down the Kananaskis river.

Tracy and I spent some time at the Stampede tonight. If you go to the Stampede, you must have the beef on a bun, its the best!! So much to do, so little time - so true about the Stampede. I'm pretty sure i'm going again for the day on Saturday.

Happy Canada day! What can be a better way to spend the day than to spend it in Banff national park? I woke up at 2:30am and drove to catch sunrise at Moraine Lake, I wasn't disappointed!
