Photo road trip to Elk Island National Park… Total trip drove 776km… DAY 1: Packed my bags, made my delicious coffee and I’m ready to go! Oliver, Tracy and I are on our way to try to find some buffalos to photograph.

Stopped in Red Deer to get a bit of a charge and to stretch our legs… It was a pretty busy place 🙂

Pretty much anytime I go to Edmonton, I stay at the same Four Points by Sheraton hotel, because of the location and because they have nice electric car chargers. Here is a behind the scenes look of Oliver taking a photo of me in the parking lot 🙂

We quickly unpacked, had a bite to eat, and got back on the road to Elk Island National Park. I really wanted a coffee and with temperatures dropping it never hurts to top up your car as well… Very quick charging speed at over 950km/h.

We drove around Elk Island National Park for awhile looking for buffalos and Tracy and Oliver would think that every dark spot in the trees was a buffalo that needed to be investigated.

Yay! We found some buffalos 🙂

On our way to the hotel we stopped for dinner at Cactus Club Cafe 🙂

DAY 2: Today’s plan is to visit West Edmonton Mall and do some swimming in the wave pool before we drive back home.

And of course we had to visit the Lego store 🙂

Today the weather really took a turn for the worse.. Snow storm, with very low temperatures, strong winds, and some road closures. This is the reason I always buy the best winter tires possible.

Here it is, the best adventure vehicle.. Rivian R1S, covered in some beautiful snow 🙂

A driveway full of snow that needed to be cleared waited for us when we got home 🙂
