NHL HOCKEY CALGARY FLAMES

Feb 5, 2026

With the Olympic break for NHL I only photographed two Calgary Flames hockey games this month… I thought I would do a little blog post with a few of my favourite images. Photographs for Imagn Images.

First game was against the Toronto Maple leafs. There are a few teams in the league when it feels like there are more fans for the visiting team than for the Calgary Flames… Toronto Maple Leafs games feel this way 🙂

I photographed many empty net goals in my time and usually you can’t really do much, photo wise… But this time, it looked pretty nice, too bad it was the Calgary Flames that got scored on.

Second game, this time against Edmonton Oilers. “Battle of Alberta”… it was a pretty nice game and we event had a fight 🙂

Shot of Connor McDavid, skating with the puck.. took this one from the press box in the catwalk.

I feel like Tristan Jarry was trying to kill me, just look at the look on his face 🙂 This one actually hit the glass very close to my photo hole.

Funny moment when Calgary Flames goaltender Devin Cooley lost his skate blade and needed a little tow to the bench.
