Happy New Year!!!
This weekend was very busy for me. Other than all the Christmas shopping and things like that, I was photographing a volleyball tournament. The men's and women's Cougar volleyball teams both earned third place finishes at the second annual Classic Jack's Invitational.
Also this weekend I photographed a wedding in Devonian Gardens. Congratulations Steven and Crystal!
Overall I have about 1500 photographs to go through so I better get started :)

It doesn't really feel like Christmas to me, we need SNOW!!! This is a photo from a park in downtown Calgary, couple of runners enjoying a run at lunch time.

Tracy and her family having dinner, celebrating her birthday at Boston Pizza restaurant.

This weekend I had a chance to shoot a Cross Country Ski World Cup. Beckie Scott (CAN) won her 4th straight World Cup medal. It was -24C when I drove there but it didn't stop me, by the time it was over I was totally wet and frozen.
Also, for the first time in history, there was a Stampede rodeo going on at the same time as the World Cup, so I spent about half an hour photographing that.

This weekend I did my first photo shoot with my new lights setup, I'm very happy with it and after playing a little more I'm sure I will be getting very good results.
Also this weekend me and couple of friends had a little photo trip to the local zoo.

My calendar is being published. I donated all of the photographs used in this calendar and 100% of the donations of every calendar purchased goes to the 2006 Weekend to End Breast Cancer event!
The calendar is a very good quality and photographs are 14in x 9.5in (so its a pretty big calendar). It has Canadian and US holidays. Price is 1 for $25 or 2 for $40. The tax receipts are available, a $15 on a single calendar purchase and a $20 tax receipt on a double calendar purchase.
Please contact me if you are thinking of buying one (or more) sb_d@hotmail.com

Today at lunch time I went to see a fashion show in the Eatons center. Here are some shots from the show.

This weekend was full of sports photography for me once again. Friday night I photographed Mount Royal Cougars basketball games (men and women). It was an interesting experience, I tried new angles and I think I got some good shots. Cougars won both games, although men's game was close 65-64.

Saturday I went to see a hockey game, SAIT against MRC. Mount Royal took a beating. 3-7 was the final score. I didn't take any good photographs that day but it wasn't a total loss, I met some of the guys from SAIT. They all were from a Journalism program. Overall I had a good time.
Sunday early morning, once again, I went to the Lake Louise. This time it was a women's Super G world cup. I did take skis with me but decided to leave them in my truck and just walk up the mountain without paying for skiing. Well let me tell you, its harder than it looks... it took me a while but I made it up the mountain (not all the way up of course, just to the point where I could take some shots). I only spent couple of hours up there but was very frozen by the time I got back to my car.
