Christmas is almost here! Did you get presents for your loved ones? I personally don’t have very many ideas. What can a poor photographer give to his girlfriend for Christmas but himself?

Last night I was working late around the house and didn't go to sleep till very late. This morning, laying in bad, it took a lot of convincing my self to get up and go to the Zoo, I tried to think that I didn't go to the Zoo for a long time and all the animals are just sitting there in some nice poses and waiting for me to take their photographs. Well you can imagine my disappointment, after all that effort to get up early and drive all the way there, when I saw the following sign: "The Calgary Zoo is closed today, Power Failure". After trying to get in from couple of different entrances with no success I headed home.

I almost finished setting up my new studio and today I had my first customer :)

With moving into a new house and all the things I had to do, I didn't have much time to photograph anything. Today was my last Portrait Studio Light class. We got some of our work critiqued by our instructor and talked a little about business side of photography.
Did I learn anything in this class? Yes, I learned some new things, mostly just refreshed my knowledge. I would personally recommend a little more advanced class. In my opinion, taking courses like this one is always great; you learn some new tricks and meet some new people.

PS. forgot to mention, If you will happened to pick up Canadian Geographic magazine for December 2006, I have one of my photographs published on page 43. They have a little story about baby gorilla and one of my photos to go with it.

It's getting close to the time of the year when many companies are having Christmas party. Well tonight was our turn. All I can say is that the party was a Great Success!!

The party took place at The Ranche restaurant in Fish Creek park. I had lots of fun and the food was great. I didn't cover any events for a while so it was fun to get back in it and I ended up with many good photographs.
