Yesterday we had some friends over for supper and they gave us a very cool present. They gave us a Nikken PiMAG Water System. I'm very excited about it! I already set everything up and now waiting for the filter to run though a couple of times before we can start using it.

We went to Costco today and got this beautiful TV stand. I wanted to have something nice, wooden, and at the same time modern in our house and I think this stand is it. I spent about an hour hooking all the wires all over again for all the electronics, but I got it done and now Tracy and I are enjoying "Good Will Hunting" on our Apple TV :)

Tracy and I had a little early Christmas celebration dinner with my parents and Tracy's mom. We had a nice supper, gift exchange, and than plyed some Wii games. We had a great time!

Christmas came early this year :) Santa is not very reliable so I stopped at a store and bought some things for our house. I got Apple TV so I can digitize my DVD collection and also got Apple AirPort Express Base Station. I already hooked up Apple TV and loving it so far.

I stopped at the Calgary Zoo today at lunch time with my friend Greg. We didn't stay long but I was pretty happy to get some shots of the wolf.

Well it is Tracy's birthday today and Christmas is coming so I bought my self a camera :) I don't always want to carry my big camera around so I purchased a little Canon PowerShot SD870 IS. I had a gift certificate so the camera didn't cost me very much. I didn't have a chance to play with it much but I like it so far.

As I mentioned today is my fiance's birthday. Happy birthday my love!
As a present, she wanted a Nintendo Wii for awhile, so I got her one. I'm sure we will have some Wii action at our house pretty often :) We spent our evening celebrating at the Julio's Barrio Mexican Restaurant with a small group of family and friends.

It was a pretty busy weekend for me. I had a couple of Christmas parties to go to, met with some potential clients, and of course Christmas shopping :)

Tracy and I were late to one of the Christmas parties because I got a phone call asking me to come and pick up a delivery at a FedEx location. It was Tracy's present so I couldn't say no. We had to drive to a strange warehouse, almost outside of the city and go where the big trucks get loaded. This made me feel big in my small SUV so I snapped a shot of my car getting ready to be loaded :)
At one of the parties we went to a small restaurant Blue House Cafe. The food was amazing, it was really the best food I had in a very long time, I really recommend it!

Tracy and I were invited for a little pizza and movie party at our friends Sergey and Maple's house this evening. We had a Coco Brooks Pizza and watched a couple of movies - Good Luck Chuck and The Simpsons Movie. I really liked the Good Luck Chuck, I thought it was funny. The Simpsons Movie was pretty good but it wasn't anything special from The Simpsons show. We had a great time and I loved playing with their big cat Cleo.

I haven't posted very often lately, I'm sorry. It just I haven't done very many interesting and exciting things for a bit. December is a pretty slow month for my business so I have been doing some things around the house that were put on hold because I was pretty busy before.
I did some changes to my website yesterday. As you probably noticed, I changed my buttons on the top of my site. I also changed the layout of my "about" section. I created and maintain my webpage by myself so I did multiple changes to the code that you will not see but at least I will have less coding mistakes behind the scenes.

Airdrie, Festival of Lights. Some friends and I went for a nice supper in a Chinese restaurant tonight and than we went to see the Festival of Lights. It was very cold but it was still fun to spend some time outdoors.

I spent my evening at a party. Rapid Solutions had their client appreciation Christmas party at Centini Restaurant, Downtown Calgary. The food and music was excellent! I saw this band play 3 times already and unfortunately didn't catch their name but these guys are great.

I'm back to Calgary from spending my weekend in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Here are some photographs of Toni celebrating her 1st birthday.

We had our first real snow :) and for the first time of this year I had to shovel it :( Luckily we decorated our house last weekend with some Christmas lights and now all the wires are hidden under the snow. As I heard on the radio, they had over 400 car accidents in Calgary today. What happens with people over the summer? Forgetting completely how to drive with a little bit of snow?

Mount Royal College Cougars against SAIT Trojans. It was a high scoring game, Trojans beat Cougars 8-5. It was a great game to watch!

Some of my friends and I went for some sushi tonight to the Sumo Lounge restaurant at Eau Claire. I didn't have sushi for close to a year, so I was very excited about it and when it came time to order I ordered way too much. It was great, I should have sushi more often!

I'm back and still alive... barely!
This last weekend Tracy and I worked on a ringette tournament in Airdrie. We had 3 very hard days but it was all worth it. I barely had any breaks, just the time when they had to flood the ice. By the end of the first day I couldn't lift my arms, they were so sore from holding my camera. On the second day I mounted my camera on the monopod and it worked much better. By the end of the 3rd day, in the middle of the game, 3 out of 6 lights stopped working. The batteries in my PocketWizards had died and I had to run around and climb the ladder to replace all my batteries. It was stressful but not as bad as I thought it would be.
Now we just finished processing all the files and Tracy is burning DVDs to send out to the teams. I would like to thank all the organizers and volunteers, the tournament turned out great!

I probably will not have time to post for a couple of days. I will be photographing a ringette tournament in Airdrie. Its a pretty big tournament and I'm very happy they invited me to be their official photographer. I will have couple of very long days shooting from 6 am till 11 pm and than pretty much the whole day on Sunday. I'm very fortunate that I have the greatest fiance in the world who will do her usual great job on sales and processing so I don't have to stress as much and can concentrate on shooting!
Today I bought some supplies and went out to the arena to setup my strobes and scout the location. They should really have more power plugs! I couldn't find a single one around and had to wire everything from a dressing room. It took me 4 hours!. I usually use 4 x 1600 and 2 x 800 Alien Bees strobes for a hockey arena and I'm pretty happy with the results. Wish me luck and stay tuned for some photographs from the tournament!
